Arnoud de Pelsmakere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 4th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 14th minute of play forced Club Universidad Nacional's goalkeeper Arnoud de Pelsmakere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoud de Pelsmakere saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute Steffen Gimlinge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Takacs Tibor in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnoud de Pelsmakere saved Club Universidad Nacional from getting behind. Club Universidad Nacional made a substitution. Feliciano Frans replaced Steffen Gimlinge. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonel Solo during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leonel Solo hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Universidad Nacional's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arnoud de Pelsmakere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
