Silvano Portillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute Daniel Pimentel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Portillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ defense, Felipe Barreto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silvano Portillo. The ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silvano Portillo should have stopped the shot. Silvano Portillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute of the match Portugal got a corner. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felipe Barreto ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Barreto in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvano Portillo saved ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 45th minute of play forced ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s goalkeeper Silvano Portillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Viriato Moura took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvano Portillo. Silvano Portillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After the first half Portugal were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Portugal booed when ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Lertxun didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Juli Alvarez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. In the 80th minute Juli Alvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Silvano Portillo managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 89 minutes into the match, Bartolomeu Dias notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Silvano Portillo. Silvano Portillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes into the game, Renatinho Diamant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portugal the free kick. After 92 played minutes ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Diamant. 95 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Juli Alvarez came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolomeu Dias got free with Silvano Portillo in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Portugal eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
