After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Frank Peletier managed to get in a good position for a shot. France's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Peletier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ujo Dion breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th match minute, Lucky Star was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Darusman to maneuver through the defense. France's Camille Baume got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, David Barbier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ujo Dion. Lucky Star's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Barbier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 41stth minute of the game Herman Ngantuk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but France's Maxime Durand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Fedro Budjana in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by France's Remy Dupuy. Frank Peletier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ujo Dion having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Herman Ngantuk made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Lucky Star getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Giring Suprianto hit a great ball. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herman Ngantuk in the 55th minute of play. After 58 minutes, Frank Peletier made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Lucky Star's Ujo Dion tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 62 minutes into the match, Lucky Star's goalkeeper Ujo Dion had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Peletier. 64 minutes into the match, Lucky Star's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Peletier came free, but Ujo Dion reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ujo Dion firmly grabbed it by the left post. With his leg Ujo Dion managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when France's Frank Peletier fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 90 minutes, Giring Suprianto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lucky Star and the France players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lucky Star's Giring Suprianto got a free kick in the 91st minute. France's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
