Keld Paulsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Murilo Lopez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chris Nygaard in the 59th minute. Chris Nygaard was slow to take the kick. During this time Denmark's players had a chance to rest. Murilo Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertram Svenningsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chris Nygaards short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Murilo Lopez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Bjarne Kirkegaard fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Denmark's protests and gave Bjarne Kirkegaard a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aniol Sampil in the 78th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemencin Patiño in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Clemencin Patiño came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
