Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chris Nygaard started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Ludvigsen to maneuver through the defense. After 6 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Lars Steen. When Alberigo Gianfrancesco fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored XMAS's protests and gave Alberigo Gianfrancesco a yellow card for diving instead. Ernesto Minichiello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denmark's Chris Nygaard got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. XMAS's Armando Polidori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Polidori prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 28 minutes into the match, XMAS's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Armando Polidori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denmark's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chris Nygaard in the 30th minute. Lars Steen was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind XMAS's goalkeeper Armando Polidori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Armando Polidori had in the 37thth minute some difficulties stopping Chris Nygaard's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After some careless play in the XMAS defense, Chris Nygaard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armando Polidori. The XMAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armando Polidori should have stopped the shot. When Denmark's Chris Nygaard in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye XMAS's goalie prevented a goal. In the 45th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Polidori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Polidori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ernesto Minichiello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Armando Polidori made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chris Nygaard in the 55th minute. XMAS's Armando Polidori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 65th minute of play. XMAS made a substitution. Carter Gizzi replaced Bruno Alessandrini. XMAS made a substitution. Eugenio Casiraghi replaced Ernesto Minichiello. XMAS made a substitution. Alessio Ascoli replaced Christian Zaccardi. If Mikkel Wulff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to XMAS getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Alvaro Aversano hit a great ball. When Bertram Svenningsen came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bertram Svenningsen couldn't finish the play. If Bertram Svenningsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 77th minute, Bjarne Kirkegaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by XMAS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chris Nygaard was slow to take the kick. During this time Denmark's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Denmark's Chris Nygaard to fire away a dangerous shot which Armando Polidori despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mikkel Wulff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armando Polidori was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. 91 minutes into the match, XMAS's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Armando Polidori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of XMAS booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Nygaard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugenio Casiraghi in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Denmark left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than XMAS.
