Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Sarricolea in the 16th minute of play. When Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Breguete FC's Artur Pernambucano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 37th minute of play. After 38 minutes Breguete FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Wim Wilmes managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The audience was convinced that Gijsbert ter Kruimer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artur Pernambucano was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. 42 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

54 minutes into the match, Breguete FC's goalkeeper Artur Pernambucano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 57th minute of play forced Breguete FC's goalkeeper Artur Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 61 minutes, Lars Meesters managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lars Meesters was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Breguete FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Wim Wilmes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Nando Custódio kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Breguete FC's goalkeeper Artur Pernambucano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes.
