Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabby Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 19th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, 史铮坤 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and 史铮坤 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleuterio Mirande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Ilulea FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Gabby Arias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that Ilulea FC's Gabby Arias managed to reach the ball for a save. The Netherlands fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Netherlands's Lars Meesters looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ilulea FC's Gabby Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 33rd minute of play. Eleuterio Mirande spun around in front of the goal 36 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Netherlands's goal. After 41 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Bas Tuitert. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Eikelkamp during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th minute, David Eikelkamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eleuterio Mirande to make the kick off. Gabby Arias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabby Arias having to interfere. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Mirande in the 69th minute of play. The throw-in from Eleuterio Mirande in the 71st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Netherlands's Bas Tuitert. An unexpectedly hard shot by 史铮坤 in the 74th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Elvio Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 80 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when 史铮坤 came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ilulea FC's Paulino Pelagius got a free kick in the 84th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gabby Arias. Ilulea FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 89th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathijn Doctor to maneuver through the defense. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleuterio Mirande, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute.
