An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Freitas in the 62nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute of the match ...Pingue S.C.... got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Michael Pardaves ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Michael Pardaves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arnout Reekers quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reinaldo Freitas in the 75th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Javier Abin in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Javier Abin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wim Wilmes went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Díaz Principe, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute.
