Chuan Cintron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willie Colon in the 14th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hegedus Henrik in the 16th minute of play forced Atlético Municipal's goalkeeper Chuan Cintron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chuan Cintron didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antal Valentin went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 22 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Vörös Henrik. In the 23rd minute Willie Colon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvanito Gainza hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Atlético Municipal's goal looked a bit too open when Takacs Tibor came free, but Chuan Cintron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chuan Cintron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 37th minute of play. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Atlético Municipal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Antal Valentin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Chuan Cintron quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 42ndth minute of the game Willie Colon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willie Colon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 45th minute of play forced Atlético Municipal's goalkeeper Chuan Cintron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willie Colon, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Atlético Municipal's Cordero Gipils was substituted for Azubeli Roman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willie Colon in the 52nd minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Willie Colon's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Atlético Municipal were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Hungary's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Claude Sena took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Andoni Viguri managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Chuan Cintron in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Atlético Municipal fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Atlético Municipal's Claude Sena looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Andoni Viguri's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andoni Viguri helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atlético Municipal! Chuan Cintron had in the 64thth minute some difficulties stopping Antal Valentin's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball 64 minutes into the game, Antal Valentin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Chuan Cintron was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Atlético Municipal made a substitution. Gau Resto replaced Oscar De León. In the 67th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hegedus Henrik to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 71 minutes, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Willie Colon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Chuan Cintron made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Willie Colon in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Chuan Cintron in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Atlético Municipal getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Cordero Gipils hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute Willie Colon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claude Sena in the 87th minute of play. Vörös Henrik hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hungary's zone, Claude Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal and Claude Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henry Fiola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. After some careless play in the Hungary defense, Henry Fiola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fodor Daniel. The Hungary fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fodor Daniel should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Atlético Municipal fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hungary had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
