Ma Chao Le made in the 34th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ★Independiente Ψ★'s Adan Aresti. Tadeo Udalaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel-Omar Batista in the 37th minute of play. Dalmacio Osasun lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Machine Gun Kelly! Tadeo Udalaitz had in the 40thth minute some difficulties stopping Jay-Jay Okocha's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The supporters of ★Independiente Ψ★ booed when Machine Gun Kelly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
