André Van Bever could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. André Van Bevers short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Wilson Amorim to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gartzen Portillo got free with Wilson Amorim in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. André Van Bever might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Van Bever ran back to his position shaking his head. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Gartzen Portillo took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonardo Da Vinci having to make a save. 35 minutes into the match, Felipe Barreto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonardo Da Vinci. FERRABARCA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felipe Barreto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viriato Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Gartzen Portillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. In the 60th minute Flor Buscando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peruanton Tamayo in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 69th minute of play forced FERRABARCA FC's goalkeeper Leonardo Da Vinci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Moreira. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Caetano Moreira got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 74th minute, Jaunti Bonilla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Igor Radomski threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Graciano Coutinho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Van Bever in the 81st minute of play. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Peruanton Tamayo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. 86 minutes into the game, FERRABARCA FC's Flor Buscando nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. The audience was convinced that Peruanton Tamayo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. After 94 minutes, Peruanton Tamayo made it 5-3 with a short kick to the right side. Portugal's Wilson Amorim tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
