David Eikelkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Kléber Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kléber Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kléber Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Inter de São Paulo's Gerson Coelho got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Wim Wilmes charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wim Wilmes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd minute, Wim Wilmes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Inter de São Paulo.
