La Scaloneta's Leo Asteri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Holweck in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Dybala in the 6th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexis MacAlister in the 9th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leo Asteri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes into the match, Leandro Paredes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Paredes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Enzo Fernández hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Germany's Malte Schiele got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lionel Messi in the 28th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Martinez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lionel Messi in the 42nd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute of the match La Scaloneta got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. La Scaloneta's Leandro Paredes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tommy Kahn in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Lionel Messi managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Scaloneta's supporters rose to their feet, but Lionel Messi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Sachs was the one to do the kick off. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lautaro Martinez went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 58 minutes into the game, Lionel Messi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 72 minutes into the game, Germany's Frank Sachs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leo Asteri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Alexis MacAlister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Leandro Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Leo Asteri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Scaloneta made a substitution. Ángel-Fabián Di María replaced Leandro Paredes. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by La Scaloneta's Alexis MacAlister. But to his dismay, Alexis MacAlister quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis MacAlister in the 90th minute of play. After a rather tough play, La Scaloneta's Enzo Fernández got a free kick in the 94th minute.
