Xerardo Gasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xerardo Gasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Diaz came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. He walked away shaking his head. Zaccheo Andolina struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Xerardo Gasso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Xerardo Gasso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Velazquez in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 74th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Polonia's goalkeeper Xerardo Gasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xerardo Gasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 78th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Porziano Marchitelli could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Xerardo Gasso however easily saved by the left post. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. 88 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Belarmino Viejo came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xerardo Gasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Curto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
