The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Dacians Academy got a freekick which was hit by Baybars Geylanoğlu. 3 minutes into the match, Dacians Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Jakobe came free, but Stelian Butuc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stelian Butuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Jakobe in the 6th minute of play. When Newell´s's Tadeo Jakobe in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dacians Academy's goalie prevented a goal. Cristobal Estavan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baybars Geylanoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. A collision led to Dacians Academy getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Baybars Geylanoğlu hit a great ball. Dacians Academy's Stelian Butuc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Cordara in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Cordara in the 15th minute of play forced Dacians Academy's goalkeeper Stelian Butuc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gonzalo Montier made in the 17th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Faustino Maura. Xavi Popescu came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cristobal Estavan could save by the left post. Stelian Butuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Jakobe in the 26th minute of play. Iwo Tamulewicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Cristobal Estavan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Dacians Academy's Iwo Tamulewicz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristobal Estavan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Iwo Tamulewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Iwo Tamulewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dacians Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Iwo Tamulewicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristobal Estavan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristobal Estavan made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Manole Anghel sent off a good shot on target. Stelian Butuc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Wallengren, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After some careless play in the Dacians Academy defense, Tadeo Jakobe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stelian Butuc. The Dacians Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stelian Butuc should have stopped the shot. Stelian Butuc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mattias Wallengren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iwo Tamulewicz was the one to do the kick off. Cristobal Estavan came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Dacians Academy's Manole Anghel. But to his dismay, Manole Anghel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Cristobal Estavan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Anghel in the 55th minute of play. Cristobal Estavan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manole Anghel in the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute of the match, Mattias Wallengren got a very nice opportunity to score, but Stelian Butuc was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Newell´s booed when Dacians Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remus Armeanca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stelian Butuc made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Mattias Wallengren sent off a good shot on target. Cristobal Estavan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manole Anghel in the 67th minute of the match. Cristobal Estavan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Anghel in the 67th minute of play. The throw-in from Gonzalo Montier in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Dacians Academy's Iwo Tamulewicz. In the 70th minute Manole Anghel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Estavan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristobal Estavan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iwo Tamulewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Cristobal Estavan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manole Anghel in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavi Popescu in the 77th minute of play forced Newell´s's goalkeeper Cristobal Estavan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stelian Butuc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Cordara in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Manole Anghel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Cristobal Estavan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A sloppy throw-in by Gonzalo Montier in the 84th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Dacians Academy's Remus Armeanca. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mattias Wallengren got free with Stelian Butuc in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After taking down the ball on Newell´s's corner Indiana Turban fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Stelian Butuc quite easily take care of the ball. Newell´s's Cristobal Estavan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manole Anghel in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Newell´s's goal looked a bit too open when Manole Anghel came free, but Cristobal Estavan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dacians Academy's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
