Newell´s's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Angel Vicente was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Cristobal Estavan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Rivera in the 11th minute of play. Newell´s's Cristobal Estavan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Vicente in the 13th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mattias Wallengren in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charly Gay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Rivera in the 17th minute of play forced Newell´s's goalkeeper Cristobal Estavan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 18 minutes on the clock, Nikitas Papalakis commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 18 minutes into the game, one of Picamoixons FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Vincent Meier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristobal Estavan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Rivera in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute Picamoixons FC were awarded a corner. Guillerme Carro went to the cornerflag to take it. Tadeo Jakobe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charly Gay having to interfere. In the 37th minute Mattias Wallengren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charly Gay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vincent Meier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Cristobal Estavan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 41 minutes into the match, Picamoixons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tadeo Jakobe came free, but Charly Gay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristobal Estavan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramón Rivera in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guillerme Carro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Guillerme Carro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Estavan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charly Gay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Jakobe in the 52nd minute of play. Mattias Wallengren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Charly Gay made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Newell´s's Omar Cordara got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 62nd match minute, Newell´s was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Maura to maneuver through the defense. Newell´s were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Picamoixons FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Indiana Turban took the corner. Newell´s's Indiana Turban was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Charly Gay in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Tadeo Jakobe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tadeo Jakobe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charly Gay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. After 80 played minutes Newell´s got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Ramires. In the 82nd minute Ramón Rivera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Estavan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristobal Estavan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramón Rivera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mattias Wallengren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Picamoixons FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Newell´s for a fine match.
