Italy's attentive Siricio Liotta managed to snatch the ball when Xzavion Soporta made a throw-in in the 11th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul-Émile Bolé in the 13th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stasio Kowalski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Porziano Marchitelli in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Sven-Arne Apelquist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Vittori was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 23rd minute of play forced CD Zhizhio's goalkeeper Stasio Kowalski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Italy's Flavio Vittori got control of the ball when Yu Chao Bin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Xzavion Soporta's late challenge caught a Italy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xzavion Soporta helped the player get up and apologised. Xzavion Soporta hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Stasio Kowalski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zaccheo Andolina's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. In the 48th minute of the match, Yu Chao Bin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Flavio Vittori was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.

After a defensive mix-up in CD Zhizhio's zone, Zaccheo Andolina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stasio Kowalski came out of the goal and Zaccheo Andolina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paul-Émile Bolé fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Vittori having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Italy's Stasio Kowalski threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Siricio Liotta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 62 minutes, Sigfrido Auletta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sigfrido Auletta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. CD Zhizhio's Cristian Diestro was substituted for Castro Lugardo. Siricio Liotta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yu Chao Bin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute Italy were awarded a corner. Sigfrido Auletta went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Italy getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Porziano Marchitelli hit a great ball. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Arne Apelquist in the 80th minute of the match. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. Xzavion Soporta made in the 84th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Yu Chao Bin however managed to control. Siricio Liotta struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Stasio Kowalski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. In the 94th minute, Adriano Curto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stasio Kowalski was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Italy's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
