Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Frank Sachs kicked off to start the match. Arsenal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Hodyl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stefan Hodyl did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Tommy Kahn 11 minutes into the match. Stefan Hodyl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hubert Alén in the 18th minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stefan Hodyl to make the kick off. If Frands Thygelund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frands Thygelund made in the 53rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Edvard Pihl immediately put the ball in play. Stefan Hodyl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stefan Hodyl's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Stefan Hodyl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. After 68 minutes, Patrik Melberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arsenal FC and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. Songur Yoran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rolf Rothberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. During the 95th minute of the match Patrik Melberg completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Patrik Melberg a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Germany booed when Arsenal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrik Melberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Arsenal FC were the better team. Arsenal FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
