In the 14th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asensio Capelo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Asensio Capelo. Asensio Capelo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Wim Wilmes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Asensio Capelo having to make a save. Asensio Capelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 20th minute of play. Cândido Júdice kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Kaviedes Arrese struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diablos FC. 32 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Asensio Capelo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Diablos FC defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Asensio Capelo. The Diablos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Asensio Capelo should have stopped the shot. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reimundo Casado in the 37th minute of play. Diablos FC were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Netherlands's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sydney Alcântara took the corner. 38 minutes into the game, one of Netherlands:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Arnout Reekers had in the 39thth minute some difficulties stopping Reimundo Casado's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Kaviedes Arrese sent off a good shot on target. After 42 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sydney Alcântara who took care of the corner kick. Diablos FC's Sydney Alcântara was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnout Reekers in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 54th minute, Moises Suane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olcay Orkun Gencay kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Diablos FC made a substitution. Hernan Randoli replaced Cândido Júdice. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Asensio Capelo in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Asensio Capelo could save by the left post. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Asensio Capelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute.
