Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Germany defense, 梅响庭 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 梅响庭, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Diego Di Toma dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 42nd minute of play.

Albin Holweck kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After 66 played minutes FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA got a freekick which was hit by Yu Hong Yong. Mazinho Barreto made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jardel Meireles's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After 77 minutes Germany's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was André Quadros who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Di Toma in the 82nd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
