Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Monge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 7th minute of play forced CS La Libertad's goalkeeper Ernesto Monge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Wim Wilmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CS La Libertad's Ernesto Monge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 22nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mathijn Doctor kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 29th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rodrigo Lobo. Nikos Valassiou hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Monge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the CS La Libertad defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernesto Monge. The CS La Libertad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Monge should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nikos Valassiou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, CS La Libertad's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Ernesto Monge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Monge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 57th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Ernesto Monge in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ernesto Monge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. CS La Libertad's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ernesto Monge in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. CS La Libertad's Miguel Volio got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Nikos Valassiou came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nikos Valassiou in the 69th minute of play. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. CS La Libertad's Marco Ureña was substituted for Miguel Volio. Ernesto Monge made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Rodrigo Lobo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Rodrigo Lobo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Netherlands booed when CS La Libertad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Marin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CS La Libertad succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Netherlands had controlled the match.
