Portugal's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Portugal's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Qiu Yuan Jun 14 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 17 minutes into the game, Hilario Fix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Knight Of Dawn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portugal the free kick. A collision led to Knight Of Dawn getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Hilario Fix hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the game, Portugal's Felipe Barreto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Denis Urtats made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Denis Urtats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Moreira in the 22nd minute of the match. Knight Of Dawn's Qiu Yuan Jun got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Portugal were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Knight Of Dawn's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Felipe Barreto took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Daniel Pimentel heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 28 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Miranda. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 31st minute of play forced Knight Of Dawn's goalkeeper Denis Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Qiu Yuan Jun tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th minute, Gregorio Caton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Viriato Moura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Denis Urtats read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Qiu Yuan Jun to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Knight Of Dawn's Qiu Yuan Jun made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felipe Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Knight Of Dawn made a substitution. Bruno Norino replaced Klement Belko. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Knight Of Dawn's goalkeeper Denis Urtats, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Qiu Yuan Jun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
