Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toninho Galvão in the 8th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdir Marquez got free with Tommy Kahn in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fonso Zotillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 played minutes, XV de Piracicaba's Severino Capixaba shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tommy Kahn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in XV de Piracicaba reached it. The crowd rose to their feet as XV de Piracicaba's Toninho Galvão slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Kahn. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. XV de Piracicaba's Fábio Montoia was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 25th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The supporters of Germany booed when XV de Piracicaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Sachs was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toninho Galvão got free with Tommy Kahn in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdir Marquez got free with Tommy Kahn in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Toninho Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fábio Montoia in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as XV de Piracicaba's Valdir Marquez slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Kahn. That made the score 3-0 after 39 minutes of play. When Severino Capixaba fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored XV de Piracicaba's protests and gave Severino Capixaba a yellow card for diving instead. After 41 played minutes XV de Piracicaba got a freekick which was hit by Severino Capixaba. When Germany's Frank Sachs in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye XV de Piracicaba's goalie prevented a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Fábio Montoia made the kick off in the second half. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Toninho Galvão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Fábio Montoia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. XV de Piracicaba made a substitution. Gonçalo Brasil replaced Valdir Marquez. After a defensive mix-up in XV de Piracicaba's zone, Albin Holweck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fonso Zotillo came out of the goal and Albin Holweck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Fábio Montoia came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the XV de Piracicaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fábio Montoia couldn't finish the play. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fonso Zotillo having to interfere. Patrick Leite's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patrick Leite helped the player get up and apologised. Gonçalo Brasil scored 6-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yuri Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. XV de Piracicaba fully deserved thier win.
