But to his dismay, Bernardino Ciceron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jurand Sidorowicz having to interfere. The supporters of Germany booed when Cuervo Villa Mola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardino Ciceron didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Laureano Cordarell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino Atauri got a throw-in 29 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Laureano Cordarell. After having played for 30 minutes, Godofredo Valentine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laureano Cordarell got free with Tommy Kahn in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Sachs to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Laureano Cordarell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Laureano Cordarell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Cordarell in the 59th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jurand Sidorowicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 67 minutes in the game Severino Atauri did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Laureano Cordarell. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Haritz, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inocencio Haritz in the 73rd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Laureano Cordarell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal.
