In the 4th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thibaut Vandamme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thibaut Vandamme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siricio Liotta in the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thibaut Vandamme narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 15th minute of play forced Variante Delta's goalkeeper Thibaut Vandamme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute Italy were awarded a corner. Sigfrido Auletta went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Siricio Liotta got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Thibaut Vandamme quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Variante Delta getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Dominic Forcat hit a great ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Siricio Liotta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Siricio Liotta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Zaccheo Andolina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thibaut Vandamme was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thibaut Vandamme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 37th minute of play. Eliseo Cutri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the game, Eliseo Cutri threw the ball into play from the sideline. Variante Delta's Dominic Forcat quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Eliseo Cutri made in the 46th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Variante Delta's Dominic Forcat. 47 minutes into the game, Gianpaolo Mascari threw the ball into play from the sideline. Variante Delta's Ferdinand Bjørn quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Caio Hornilla stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thibaut Vandamme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Caio Hornilla took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Vittori. Flavio Vittori dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Variante Delta's Thibaut Vandamme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 63rd minute of play. Thibaut Vandamme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If Zaccheo Andolina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thibaut Vandamme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siricio Liotta in the 80th minute of play. Siricio Liotta took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thibaut Vandamme. Thibaut Vandamme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. Italy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Siricio Liotta in the 88th minute. After 89 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Sansone Vanella. Thibaut Vandamme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Curto in the 90th minute of the match. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Hornilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
