Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Andriy Shevcenko took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in -BZF- Valea Buzăului's zone, Balazs Lajos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damian Macovei came out of the goal and Balazs Lajos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 7th minute, Takacs Tibor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Takacs Tibor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 13th minute, Andriy Shevcenko reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fodor Daniel. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 18th match minute, -BZF- Valea Buzăului was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Costa to maneuver through the defense. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iulian Cozaru in the 21st minute of play. Damian Macovei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 22nd minute of play. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Damian Macovei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 23rd minute of play. After 25 minutes -BZF- Valea Buzăului's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Antal Valentin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Damian Macovei quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 34 minutes into the match, Hungary's Major Barna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damian Macovei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Damian Macovei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Costa in the 44th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antal Valentin made a kick off. Damian Macovei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Major Barna in the 52nd minute. With a little luck, -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Damian Macovei got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Major Barna who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Damian Macovei when he managed to save the team from getting behind. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Damian Macovei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save -BZF- Valea Buzăului from getting a goal against them. Hungary's Major Barna got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damian Macovei came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Hungary's Major Barna. But to his dismay, Major Barna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 75th minute, Gelu Jumancă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Antal Valentin could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Damian Macovei however easily saved by the left post. In the 80th minute, Major Barna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Damian Macovei. The goal made the score 1-5. The supporters of -BZF- Valea Buzăului booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Katona Janos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Damian Macovei made a huge save. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Damian Macovei in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over Hungary could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than -BZF- Valea Buzăului throughout the match.
