Edgardo Patxi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 14th minute of play. Edgardo Patxi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Pelayo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pelayo Silva in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. 20 minutes into the match, Lengua de Lobo's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Edgardo Patxi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robin Lebleu made in the 22nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. Lengua de Lobo's Edgardo Patxi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute Caetano Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgardo Patxi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
