Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Viriato Moura made the kick off and thus started the match. The supporters of Los Trip booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Pimentel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Capello. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Capello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Trip's Agustín Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Moreira in the 19th minute of play. Viriato Moura took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Agustín Rossi. Agustín Rossi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 26 minutes into the match, Los Trip's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Capello, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 31 played minutes Los Trip got a freekick which was hit by Edelmiro Neto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Castro in the 38th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th match minute, Los Trip was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by CJ Asensio to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruno Capello to make the kick off. Felipe Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Agustín Rossi made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Agustín Rossi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Felipe Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Capello might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruno Capello ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 65th minute Bruno Capello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes, Rodolfo Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Portugal and the Los Trip players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Rodolfo Miranda got a free kick in the 70th minute. Los Trip's Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca was substituted for Bruno Capello. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. In the 72nd match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Miranda to maneuver through the defense. Los Trip's Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodolfo Miranda made in the 78th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Caetano Moreira however managed to control. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Graciano Coutinho took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Agustín Rossi to make any attempt to save it. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fernando Calderón De La Barca in the 89th minute of play. Los Trip were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Portugal for a fine match.
