Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Chris Nygaard got the match started through his kick off. After recieving a nice pass, S.João de Areias's Silvano Severo tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Denmark's Theis Winther quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Filipe Pimenta, made in the 23rd minute of the game. The supporters of Denmark booed when S.João de Areias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teófilo Pinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yusuf Ziya Sertaç made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikkel Wulff in the 35th minute of play. Chris Nygaard took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yusuf Ziya Sertaç. Yusuf Ziya Sertaç dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 52nd minute of play forced S.João de Areias's goalkeeper Yusuf Ziya Sertaç to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th match minute, S.João de Areias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fatih Tekke to maneuver through the defense. Chris Nygaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yusuf Ziya Sertaç having to interfere. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bonifacio Aznar in the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theis Winther to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yusuf Ziya Sertaç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fatih Tekke's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fatih Tekke helped the player get up and apologised. Yusuf Ziya Sertaç made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertram Svenningsen in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Bonifacio Aznar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.João de Areias's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bonifacio Aznar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yusuf Ziya Sertaç showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Fatih Tekke kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Chris Nygaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yusuf Ziya Sertaç saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Denmark could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than S.João de Areias throughout the match.
