In the 11th minute of the match, José Bomba tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wilson Amorim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Miguel Poças played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Graciano Coutinho in the 15th minute of play. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 17th minute of play forced F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalkeeper Miguel Poças to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Inácio Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Inácio Secco managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Secco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miguel Poças didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Barreto went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Viriato Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Viriato Moura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Poças was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. In the 38th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Poças saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Poças took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Hong Xi Bin got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Miguel Poças played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 56th minute of play. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Bomba, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Felipe Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Miguel Poças made a huge save. After 71 minutes, José Bomba made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Portugal's Wilson Amorim tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. In the 76th minute, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Felipinho Amorim fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipinho Amorim in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Poças saved F.C. Paços de Ferreira from getting behind. After 82 minutes F.C. Paços de Ferreira's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Pimentel who took care of the corner kick. Miguel Poças showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 88th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Caetano Moreira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Miguel Poças. That made the score 3-2 in the 90 minute of play. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Miguel Poças proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save F.C. Paços de Ferreira from getting a goal against them.
