The supporters of F.C. Paços de Ferreira booed when Italy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Poças read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Paços de Ferreira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Poças should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Italy eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
