The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Eduardo Viana tried to sneak it across the goal line. David Prada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bas Tuitert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Prada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 20th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Eduardo Viana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Prada. David Prada dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 28th minute Eduardo Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Prada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 32nd minute of the match. After having played for 36 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Prada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 39th minute of the match. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. David Prada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's David Prada threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lars Meesters, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by SANFINS VLP's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Egbert Nijveldt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SANFINS VLP's David Prada did a great save. 54 minutes in the game, Wim Wilmes dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eduardo Viana in the 58th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When 邵斌昂 fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SANFINS VLP's protests and gave 邵斌昂 a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SANFINS VLP getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. 邵斌昂 hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. After some careless play in the SANFINS VLP defense, David Eikelkamp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Prada. The SANFINS VLP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Prada should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 73rd minute of play forced SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 74th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. SANFINS VLP's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but David Prada in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 79 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Prada narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Gustaaf Groeneveldt could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which David Prada however easily saved by the left post. David Prada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 88 minutes, Basílio Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SANFINS VLP and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SANFINS VLP getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Basílio Silveira hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 90th minute by Gustaaf Groeneveldt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. David Prada made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SANFINS VLP.
