After 7 minutes of play, Italy's Porziano Marchitelli made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Çakır Alyakut was left in no man's land by his defense there! Siricio Liotta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Çakır Alyakut read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Çakır Alyakut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute Italy were awarded a corner. Sigfrido Auletta went to the cornerflag to take it. 28 minutes into the match, 1930 Bafraspor's goal looked a bit too open when Porziano Marchitelli came free, but Çakır Alyakut reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1930 Bafraspor's Çakır Alyakut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 30th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Cutri. Çakır Alyakut took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Çakır Alyakut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 38th minute of the match. Göksel Taşdan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Flavio Vittori came out and tried to block the shot, but Göksel Taşdan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 41st minute. Çakır Alyakut showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 48th minute of the match.

Gianpaolo Mascari hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the game, 1930 Bafraspor's Göksel Taşdan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flavio Vittori made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 58 minutes into the game, Porziano Marchitelli threw the ball into play from the sideline. 1930 Bafraspor's Martin Johansson quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some careless play in the Italy defense, Göksel Taşdan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flavio Vittori. The Italy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavio Vittori should have stopped the shot. Ignacy Sroka kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 1930 Bafraspor's Rıdvan Balıkçı was substituted for Göksel Taşdan. Italy's attentive Siricio Liotta managed to snatch the ball when Alaaddin Benlioğlu made a throw-in in the 70th minute of the game. Sigfrido Auletta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Çakır Alyakut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Çakır Alyakut made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Zaccheo Andolina sent off a good shot on target. Porziano Marchitelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Çakır Alyakut made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Johansson in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Vittori saved Italy from getting behind. 83 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Johansson came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute Rıdvan Balıkçı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Rıdvan Balıkçı came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zaccheo Andolina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Çakır Alyakut having to interfere. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Johansson in the 96th minute of play. The 1930 Bafraspor players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
