Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Brian Åkerberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentino Basulto got free with Flavio Vittori in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valentino Basulto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Flavio Vittori came out and tried to block the shot, but Valentino Basulto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 11th minute. Alirio Ducoing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigfrido Auletta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, Zaccheo Andolina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Alirio Ducoing was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 19th match minute, C.A. Peñarol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentino Basulto to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zaccheo Andolina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play, C.A. Peñarol's Jimeno Infante made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavio Vittori was left in no man's land by his defense there! Porziano Marchitelli managed to trick C.A. Peñarol's defense and made a shot which however Alirio Ducoing didn't slip through. A nice save in the 58thth minute. C.A. Peñarol's defense didn't have a chance, in the 59th minute, when Porziano Marchitelli scored to the left of an out of position Alirio Ducoing, making the score, 2-3. In the 65th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alirio Ducoing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Alirio Ducoing successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alirio Ducoing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 72nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the C.A. Peñarol defense, Sigfrido Auletta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alirio Ducoing. The C.A. Peñarol fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alirio Ducoing should have stopped the shot. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. Flavio Vittori stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valentino Basulto's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Sostene Vitulli kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Brian Åkerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adriano Curto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Alirio Ducoing made a huge save. With a little luck, C.A. Peñarol's Alirio Ducoing got control of the ball when Adriano Curto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Italy's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
