Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Peder Sarstedt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 8th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Apelquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. After 21 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. Tommy Kahn stood somewhat misplaced when Peder Sarstedt came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 29 minute. In the 34th minute, Albin Holweck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Sachs in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt Apelquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Patrik Heggert struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Huvudstaden. In the 42nd minute, Albin Holweck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Sachs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bengt Apelquist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Kent Jonasson scored 3-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Peder Sarstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Huvudstaden's supporters rose to their feet, but Peder Sarstedt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Heggert came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Linus Schwerner kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Peder Sarstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Huvudstaden's Arvid Olsson was substituted for Kent Jonasson. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peder Sarstedt in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 76thth minute of the game Peder Sarstedt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 83rd minute, Albin Holweck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peder Sarstedt in the 91st minute of play. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tage Rudqvist in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. Huvudstaden walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
