Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 11 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Constantino Salgado. Yiyo Esperta made in the 16th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Facundo Feria immediately put the ball in play. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Quintero in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Facundo Feria recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tommy Kahn. Facundo Feria showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Willy Stieler fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Willy Stieler a yellow card for diving instead. Willy Stieler hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Quintero in the 28th minute of play. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Facundo Feria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Facundo Feria succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 33rd playminute. 37 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Quintero came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Facundo Feria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Axel Uplegger hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Germany's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Facundo Feria fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.

Albin Holweck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Edgar Badia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Quintero came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Germany's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Honorio Carceles was slow to take the kick. During this time PERSPOLIS's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Facundo Feria heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. PERSPOLIS made a substitution. Cipriano Ganix replaced Emiliano Quintero. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Ganix in the 65th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cipriano Ganix succeeded in the game's 69th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-0. In the 85th minute, Bela Herrero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Cipriano Ganix kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Badia having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Germany players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for PERSPOLIS.
