Onur Candar charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Onur Candar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th minute, Onur Candar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen got a free kick in the 9th minute. Mikkel Wulff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Arósio having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Di Yuan Liang dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Dito Carvalho's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dito Carvalho helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pombal 2003 F.C. getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Dito Carvalho hit a great ball. Bertram Svenningsen kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Keld Paulsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Di Yuan Liang in the 31st minute. 37 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Di Yuan Liang came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 43 minutes, Keld Paulsen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Denmark's Simon Bendtsen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Yağız Davutoğlu, made in the 45th minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Di Yuan Liang to make the kick off. The supporters of Denmark booed when Pombal 2003 F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Di Yuan Liang didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 52 minutes of play Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Dito Carvalho was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. When the match had been going on for 53 minutes, Denmark's Chris Nygaard got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gilson Arósio. Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Rafael Meirelles got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Rafael Meirelles got a free kick in the 71st minute. With a little luck, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Gilson Arósio got control of the ball when Chris Nygaard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kauã Lago scored 4-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Keld Paulsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lars Steen hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute, Kauã Lago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Kauã Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pombal 2003 F.C. had won after a very even match.
