Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Wilson Amorim was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Elpidio Francis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elpidio Francis. Elpidio Francis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. If Felipe Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 24th minute of the match. Felipe Barreto scored 1-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Branislav Velchevski, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 28th minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Francis, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Graciano Coutinho got a free kick in the 37th minute. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 40th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Viriato Moura made the kick off in the second half. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Francis in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of Portugal booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bonifacio Suarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. When ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. The throw-in from Bonifacio Suarez in the 74th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski got control of the ball when Felipinho Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Branislav Velchevski came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias. But to his dismay, Bartolomeu Dias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
