Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Boleslaw Sidorowicz struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simbo FC. After having played for 30 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th match minute, Simbo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piotr Ostrowski to maneuver through the defense. Mías Khalifa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 44th minute of the match. After 47 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Lars Meesters. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Simbo FC's Nestor Sancho. But to his dismay, Nestor Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 58th minute of play forced Simbo FC's goalkeeper Mías Khalifa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mías Khalifa made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Miliano Sacristán managed to get in a good position for a shot. Simbo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Miliano Sacristán was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 65 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Sancho came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Liviu Gherghescu kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 69th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Nestor Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 77 minutes into the match, Simbo FC's Nestor Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnout Reekers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 78 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 81st minute. Nestor Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Simbo FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Simbo FC's goalie and right to David Eikelkamp. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Simbo FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 94th minute, Nestor Sancho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Netherlands players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Simbo FC.
