Zaccheo Andolina struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Austen Willis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. The throw-in from Sixten Söderberg in the 13th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Zaccheo Andolina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Austen Willis having to interfere. Austen Willis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 16th minute of play. Tage Falk in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Flavio Vittori, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 22 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Austen Willis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 27 minutes, Zaccheo Andolina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zaccheo Andolina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Austen Willis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. A throw-in in the 34th minute of the game was made by Sixten Söderberg with Marcus Olsman as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Zaccheo Andolina struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Austen Willis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Austen Willis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Zaccheo Andolina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Austen Willis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Asplund in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Sixten Söderberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zaccheo Andolina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tage Falk to make the kick off. Gianpaolo Mascari made in the 54th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Övertorneå RK's Marcus Olsman. After having played for 60 minutes, Zaccheo Andolina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zaccheo Andolina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Övertorneå RK's Austen Willis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 67th minute of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Italy's Zaccheo Andolina in the 71st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Austen Willis was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Övertorneå RK through an amazing save. After 72 minutes Övertorneå RK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sigfrido Auletta who took care of the corner kick. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albin Asplund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sigfrido Auletta struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Austen Willis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. Austen Willis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Övertorneå RK's zone, Zaccheo Andolina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Austen Willis came out of the goal and Zaccheo Andolina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. In the 89th match minute, Övertorneå RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Mech to maneuver through the defense. Italy's Adriano Curto got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Austen Willis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Curto in the 94th minute of the match. Övertorneå RK succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Italy had controlled the match.
