Matthis Paelemans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s Mahmud Alp. Mahmud Alp was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mahmud Alp was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s Chu Zhen Xun got a free kick in the 38th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Kees Mooiweer in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s Anestis Tsoukalas. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Mahmud Alp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Mahmud Alp was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Wim Wilmes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wim Wilmes really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chu Zhen Xun in the 95th minute of play. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
