The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Tande came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Nova Era's Chico Pinho. Chico Pinho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Lucas Beltrán tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Nova Era was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Mello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Beltrán in the 16th minute of play. Guaberto Rocio kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. When Nova Era's Lucas Beltrán in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 43rd match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bas Tuitert to maneuver through the defense. Artur Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Beltrán in the 46th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Alpheios Logarakis came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Lucas Beltrán made the kick off in the second half. Kees Mooiweer made in the 53rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gijsbert ter Kruimer immediately put the ball in play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Chico Pinho in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Nova Era's Chico Pinho got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69thth minute of the game Gijsbert ter Kruimer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nova Era's Chico Pinho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alpheios Logarakis kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chico Pinho was a little too slow when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-3. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Lucas Beltrán put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Arnout Reekers. Chico Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Chico Pinho threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lars Meesters, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Chico Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 87th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Nova Era was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Rocio to maneuver through the defense. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
