Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Atlético Nacional's Angelo Distiratsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 3rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 4th minute of play forced Atlético Nacional's goalkeeper Angelo Distiratsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Distiratsu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. In the 8th minute Porziano Marchitelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Distiratsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Atlético Nacional's Eric Oltean sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Flavio Vittori narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Angelo Distiratsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the game, Jeroen Roofhoof threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Siricio Liotta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Angelo Distiratsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlos Alberto Azevedo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Flavio Vittori. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Josué Madureira in the 35th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Angelo Distiratsu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sigfrido Auletta went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Italy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sigfrido Auletta in the 43rd minute. Italy's Sigfrido Auletta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Angelo Distiratsu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Angelo Distiratsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Alberto Azevedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Atlético Nacional's Angelo Distiratsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 51st minute of play. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Alberto Azevedo in the 55th minute of the match. Zaccheo Andolina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Angelo Distiratsu made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zaccheo Andolina got free with Angelo Distiratsu in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Josué Madureira made in the 67th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Nacional's goalkeeper Angelo Distiratsu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Angelo Distiratsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelo Distiratsu made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Zaccheo Andolina sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Atlético Nacional's Angelo Distiratsu got control of the ball when Adriano Curto tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Italy's Adriano Curto in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atlético Nacional's goalie prevented a goal. In the 98th minute of the match Italy got a corner. Atlético Nacional's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Siricio Liotta ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Italy's Siricio Liotta to fire away a dangerous shot which Angelo Distiratsu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Siricio Liotta's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Angelo Distiratsu on his right side and into the goal. 98 minutes into the game it was 1-2. The Italy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Italy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
