When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Alberto Azevedo made a kick off. The referee gave Atlético Nacional a penalty, 93 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eric Oltean, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. 3-2. Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Alberto Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Atlético Nacional had won after a very even match.
