Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Donald Fenwick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Memphis Grizzlies's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Donald Fenwick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donald Fenwick didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Joachim Garate kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Donald Fenwick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16thth minute of the game Wim Wilmes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Memphis Grizzlies's Donald Fenwick was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Donald Fenwick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Memphis Grizzlies's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Donald Fenwick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinicio Carballeira might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Reekers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vinicio Carballeira ran back to his position shaking his head. Donald Fenwick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46thth minute of the game Vinicio Carballeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Thanks to some nice moves David Eikelkamp could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Donald Fenwick however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt hit a great ball. David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 95th minute of the match Tony Jones sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnout Reekers skillfully saved the ball. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
