The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Sven Krakouer a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Sven Krakouer. Tom Rheistein shot from long distance in the 31st minute, but Tommy Kahn was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Rafael van der Vaart tried to sneak it across the goal line. The throw-in from Bennett Rishton in the 36th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Germany's Adrian Dreifuss. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafael van der Vaart was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Glasston's Rafael van der Vaart nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Rafael van der Vaart took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael van der Vaart in the 61st minute of play. Malte Schiele hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute of the match Tom Rheistein sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Kahn skillfully saved the ball. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, Glasston's Bengt-Rune Rolfsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carlton Convine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Holweck in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mete Golob in the 75th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Sven Krakouer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mete Golob, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute.
