Gabriel Van Dyck was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Tuur Gheysen made in the 19th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by U21 Chile's Tobías Jarpa. The supporters of U21 Chile booed when U21 Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tuur Gheysen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Nicolás Castillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicolás Castillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabriel Van Dyck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Romeo Bermúdez hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Huilipan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute, Tuur Gheysen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Huilipan came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Belgium's Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt. But to his dismay, Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rodrigo Huilipan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodrigo Huilipan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Álvaro Barco came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gabriel Van Dyck could save by the left post. Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodrigo Huilipan having to make a save. Rodrigo Huilipan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt in the 42nd minute of play. Álvaro Barco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Gabriel Van Dyck made a huge save. After 47 played minutes U21 Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Tuur Gheysen.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicolás Castillo to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodrigo Huilipan. U21 Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Rodrigo Huilipan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt in the 56th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt in the 58th minute of play forced U21 Chile's goalkeeper Rodrigo Huilipan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When U21 Chile's Nicolás Castillo in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cristopher Damian took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gabriel Van Dyck. U21 Belgium's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tobías Jarpa kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. U21 Chile's Rodrigo Huilipan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt in the 80th minute of play. Rodrigo Huilipan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Antonio Cromefeldt in the 89th minute. The supporters of U21 Chile booed when U21 Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thiago van Beek didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute Cristopher Damian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Van Dyck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The U21 Belgium supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing U21 Belgium would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
