Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Wim Wilmes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Freiburg 09's Renato Candal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Renato Candal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. SC Freiburg 09's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in David Eikelkamp almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SC Freiburg 09's Renato Candal did a great save. 6 minutes into the match, David Eikelkamp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renato Candal. SC Freiburg 09's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that David Eikelkamp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 13 minutes into the game, one of SC Freiburg 09:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 15 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renato Candal was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 17th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bas Tuitert to maneuver through the defense. SC Freiburg 09's David Martínez shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 18th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Arnout Reekers but with some difficulty. SC Freiburg 09's Renato Candal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 21st minute of play. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Renato Candal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Renato Candal came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 30th match minute, SC Freiburg 09 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Bragança to maneuver through the defense. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Leal in the 32nd minute of play. Renato Candal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 39th minute of play forced SC Freiburg 09's goalkeeper Renato Candal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Freiburg 09's Renato Candal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 40th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 09's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Renato Candal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raul Leal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Renato Candal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 09's Caio Sampaio got a free kick in the 55th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renato Candal saved SC Freiburg 09 from getting behind. 61 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Renato Candal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SC Freiburg 09's Renato Candal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save SC Freiburg 09 from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renato Candal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Renato Candal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Renato Candal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Freiburg 09's goalkeeper Renato Candal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raul Leal in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd minute of the match SC Freiburg 09 got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Martínez ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Mehmet Ferit İsmet managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
