After having played for 15 minutes, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antal Valentin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. John Antolin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match, Mehmet Emrah Dolunay tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fodor Daniel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Balazs Lajos in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tayfun Tanfer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When MarineerS FK's Žydrūnas Pauža in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hungary's goalie prevented a goal. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tayfun Tanfer having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antal Valentin to make the kick off. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Davide Tonon in the 51st minute of play. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Rundell in the 54th minute of the match. Carl Rundell struck a weak shot in the 54th minute.
