Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gerd Müller started the match with the kick off. The throw-in from Kees Mooiweer in the 6th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by KF RAHOVECI 1931's Paco Gerløv. Petras Anusauskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 8th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petras Anusauskas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Petras Anusauskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Eikelkamp in the 14th minute of play. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerd Müller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petras Anusauskas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Gijsbert ter Kruimer might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petras Anusauskas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 36th minute, Glaukia Plepi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petras Anusauskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 42nd minute of play. Gerd Müller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KF RAHOVECI 1931's Petras Anusauskas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 47th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Petras Anusauskas. KF RAHOVECI 1931's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustaaf Groeneveldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After the first half Netherlands were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Gerd Müller kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerd Müller in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Petras Anusauskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 63rd minute. Gerd Müller blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arnout Reekers having to make a save. Petras Anusauskas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of Netherlands booed when KF RAHOVECI 1931 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Riza Cuni didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, KF RAHOVECI 1931's Petras Anusauskas got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Petras Anusauskas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Petras Anusauskas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 97 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Lakis Kaminaris came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Netherlands eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
